Our People
Mac was a pioneer in the field of labour relations and an organizational change agent for more than 30 years. Those years were evenly divided among being a union member and leader, a member of management in various line and staff roles, and acting as an internal change agent, all with DuPont Canada prior to establishing Mac Roberts & Associates in 1986. This gave him a relatively unique perspective from which to advise and assist clients.
Mac took pride in working in accordance to his principles and in taking a very practical approach to the complex area of personal and organizational change. His consulting and facilitating was based on personal experience interspersed with the use of systems thinking frameworks which helped clients gain new perspectives on familiar issues and opportunities.
The approach he used focused on improving the Individual’s and Organization’s quality of thought and thought processes in conjunction with evolving their relationships towards being more respectful and constructive. He did this in a way that enabled the organization's he worked with to think about and then evolve their own culture.
Mac touched thousands of people and "the work" he began 30 years ago continues to be taught and applied by the colleagues and associates he has mentored and inspired.
